Looking for Deaf Youth Camp Counselors!

It's hard to believe that we are already thinking about summer camp! As we start preparing for our Deaf Youth Camp, Standing Together, we are looking for enthusiastic, compassionate, and reliable individuals to serve as camp counselors.


Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Must pass a criminal background check

  • Must have knowledge of American Sign Language

  • Have experience working with children

  • Physical ability to participate in activities (run, swim, lift, support the weight of children, etc.)

  • Upbeat, engaging personality

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills

  • Positive role model


Responsibilities:

  • The time commitment for a volunteer counselor is approximately 11:00 AM on Sunday, August 9, 2020, through Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at approximately 5:00 PM.

  • A counselor must attend required online training sessions or have made arrangements to review the information given at training sessions.

  • You may be asked to lead an activity or talk about leadership, bullying, etc.
